Manchester United remain unbeaten in their last four Premier League matches but could only secure a draw against Nottingham Forest, where Benjamin Sesko faced difficulties.
Since joining Manchester United from RB Leipzig for £74 million, the Slovenian striker has scored two goals and provided one assist in ten league appearances. Manager Ruben Amorim is gradually integrating the 22-year-old into the team.
Sesko seemed to improve before the international break with goals against Brentford and Sunderland but struggled in the recent match against Nottingham Forest.
"I'm no further forward with him. The jury is out. He's well off it compared to the other summer signings that Man United made up front in [Matheus] Cunha and [Bryan] Mbeumo. He looks awkward, he had a couple of really good opportunities in the first half - when balls got played over the top and his touch wasn't quite right. For £80million, you can say he's young, or has a lot of potential and he's only just settling in, but you still want to see a bit more."
"I would say they are slightly better. I think they are moving in the right direction."
Lineker agreed with Neville that Cunha and Mbeumo have adapted better to Amorim's style, while Sesko has shown only glimpses of his potential.
The opinions of both football experts suggest that although Sesko has some promise, his development at Manchester United is still uncertain compared to other recent signings.
Author’s note: Despite Sesko’s talent, his adjustment to Manchester United requires patience and further progress to meet expectations fully.
