On October 25, the historic halls of the National Building Museum were filled with hope and inspiration during the annual Blue Hope Bash. The event aimed to raise awareness and funds for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance, an organization devoted to research and patient support.
The evening featured a vibrant celebration honoring two notable media professionals — Craig Melvin, Co-Anchor of The Today Show, and his wife, Emmy Award-winning sportscaster Lindsay Czarniak. Their long-standing efforts to promote awareness of colorectal cancer and their advocacy for healthy living and early detection earned them this year’s honors.
The gala welcomed a diverse audience of philanthropists, medical experts, celebrities, and supporters dedicated to advancing the fight against colorectal cancer. Attendees enjoyed a refined evening with gourmet cuisine, live entertainment, and moving stories shared by survivors and their families.
“This disease has touched many lives, including my own family,” said Craig Melvin. “I’m honored to stand here tonight and continue the fight for awareness, early detection, and ultimately, a cure.”
