Flinders Port Holdings introduced a new custom-built float celebrating maritime trade during the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide. The float highlights the company’s contribution to the festive spirit across South Australia.
The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant, beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, 8 November, opens with the traditional golden whistle. Since 1933, this event has marked the official start of the Christmas season for thousands of South Australians gathered along Adelaide’s streets.
“We’re thrilled to finally unveil our FPH float,” said Flinders Port Holdings in a social media post.
According to the company, the float “celebrates the vital role maritime trade plays in bringing festive joy, and presents, to South Australians each year.”
The float is the first custom-built design to appear in the pageant in five years. It features a detailed replica of one of Flinders Port Holdings’ Pilot boats, accompanied by straddle carriers, containers, and FPH elves busily checking off Christmas gifts.
“The blue fabric ruffle below adds the perfect finishing touch, creating the illusion of the Pilot Boat gliding through water,” the statement added.
This week, the float was officially launched at Outer Harbor, where FPH elves joined in the festivities, underscoring the company’s strong community spirit and connection to South Australia’s maritime history.
