After being acquired in the Kevin Durant trade, Jalen Green has finally made his debut with the Phoenix Suns. The 23-year-old guard, who averaged 20.1 points per game during his four seasons with the Houston Rockets, missed the preseason and the first eight regular season games due to a right hamstring strain.
The trade in the 2025 offseason sent future hall-of-famer Kevin Durant to Houston, with Phoenix receiving Green, Dillon Brooks, and the No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 draft, used to select Khaman Maluach.
“Coming here, I got to know (the team), and I picked up with everybody very fast,” Green said. “Everyone is cool and has the same goals and mentality, so that makes it easy when you’re chasing that same goal with somebody. … From the coaching staff, to the players, to the front office, everyone is just great. The relationships molded fast.”
Though new to Phoenix and without any prior game experience in a Suns uniform, Green expressed that he feels at home and has quickly built strong connections both on and off the court.
Green’s return is a key addition as the Suns continue their season, hoping to capitalize on their revamped roster.
Summary: Jalen Green finally debuts for the Phoenix Suns after recovering from injury, quickly integrating into the team following the major Kevin Durant trade.
