Adelaide Metro is providing free public transport for families on Saturday, November 8, 2025, to attend the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant. This offer includes all buses, trains, and trams from 6am to 2pm, encouraging easier access to the event.
The Christmas Pageant is the southern hemisphere’s largest public street parade, attracting over 300,000 attendees last year. Adelaide Metro aims to support this major celebration by offering free travel and extra services.
To accommodate the large crowd, Adelaide Metro will run extra buses and trains throughout the morning. Substitute buses will also operate along the Glenelg tram corridor due to ongoing upgrade work.
"Adelaide Metro is so pleased to provide free public transport to help children and families get to the city for the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant," said spokesperson Michelle Spagnoletti.
"We’ll have additional services running on the day, so hop on board and leave the car at home."
Several road closures and temporary bus stop changes will be implemented across the CBD to ensure safety during the event.
Adelaide Metro’s free travel initiative during the Christmas Pageant makes attending this major event easier and safer for families by reducing transport hassles and providing extra services.
