Edinburgh Trams to Commemorate Remembrance Day

Edinburgh Trams will honor Remembrance Sunday (9 November) and Armistice Day (11 November) to pay tribute to those who died in World War I, World War II, and more recent conflicts.

Free Travel for Veterans and Serving Personnel

To recognize the sacrifices of armed forces members, free tram travel is offered to veterans and active personnel of the Army, Navy, and Air Force on both days. Eligible individuals simply need to show their military ID or uniform to use this service.

Poppies and Observances

Before the commemorations, Poppy Scotland representatives will sell poppies at the Haymarket tram stop.
Poppies will also be displayed in tram windows as a sign of respect.
Where safety allows, trams will pause at 11 a.m. on both days to observe a two-minute silence.
