Winter Weather Warning for Alberta's Mountain Regions

If you are heading to the Rockies this weekend, pack more than hiking boots; a snowsuit is recommended. Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a snowfall warning for Alberta’s mountain areas.

Snowfall Details

Heavy, wet snow is expected in Banff and near Lake Louise starting Friday evening and lasting through Saturday night. Snowfall could accumulate between 10 to 15 centimetres within 24 hours.
