The National Weather Service has announced that the current dense fog advisory for Geneva and Houston counties will expire at 8 a.m.
"Patchy areas of dense fog remain across southeastern Alabama, but it should begin to lift and dissipate in the next 30 minutes or so," says the National Weather Service.
When a dense fog advisory is issued, it means that widespread fog has developed, significantly reducing visibility to a quarter mile or less. Such conditions can make driving hazardous, so caution is strongly advised.
