Patti Smith appeared on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where she reflected on her influential album Horses and her newly released memoir, Bread of Angels.
During her appearance, Smith performed the song “Peaceable Kingdom” from her 2004 album Trampin’, accompanied by Tony Shanahan on stage.
Smith will launch a North American tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of Horses, with shows beginning November 10th in Seattle.
In 2022, Consequence named Smith’s Horses the 17th greatest album of all time.
Alongside the tour, Smith recently published Bread of Angels, sharing stories from her childhood and life experiences that shaped her artistry.
