Starting November 5, PlayStation Portal users with PlayStation Plus Premium can stream select PS5 games directly from their own digital library. This update marks a major step forward in how players access their games remotely.
The PlayStation Portal remote player was initially released in November 2023 and has steadily improved with features like enhanced public Wi-Fi support and user experience upgrades. In addition, a Cloud Streaming beta last year allowed Premium members to play select PS5 titles from the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog and Classics Catalog without using a PS5 console.
On November 5 at 6 PM PT (November 6 at 2 AM GMT), the full Cloud Streaming service for PS5 games was officially launched on the PlayStation Portal. Along with this, several new features were introduced to enrich gameplay options.
PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can now stream thousands of PS5 games from their own digital collections. This includes popular titles such as:
