Saudi Arabia's Humain and DataVolt Join Forces on Data Center Projects

Saudi Arabia’s Humain and DataVolt have announced a partnership to develop a series of data centers, aiming to create a “multi-gigawatt data center pipeline.” While specific details remain limited, the collaboration aligns with Saudi Arabia’s goal of becoming a leading global data center hub.

Humain's Role in Saudi Arabia’s Data Center Ambitions

Founded in May 2025 as a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, Humain is an AI venture dedicated to expanding Saudi Arabia’s capacity in data infrastructure. The company plans to deliver 6.4 GW of data center capacity within the next decade, combining its own facility developments with leased capacities from other operators.

Humain intends to deliver 6.4GW of data center capacity over the next decade by developing its own facilities and using leasing capacity from other operators.

The data centers will host thousands of GPUs from Nvidia and AMD, as well as processors from Groq and Qualcomm, with the first facilities scheduled to become operational in the second quarter of 2026.

DataVolt’s Infrastructure and Expansion

DataVolt, established in 2023 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Vision Invest, a state-owned firm focused on critical infrastructure, is actively developing data center projects in several locations. Its current project is underway in Oxagon, the industrial zone of the Neom City development, which faces its own challenges.

Beyond Saudi Arabia, DataVolt is also working on data centers in Riyadh, Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, and other parts of Asia.

Strategic Importance

This collaboration leverages Saudi Arabia’s vast resources to build data centers optimized for cost-effective AI workloads, reinforcing the Kingdom’s vision to become a significant player in the global data center market.

Saudi Arabia aspires to become a globally prominent data center player, leveraging its immense wealth and energy to build facilities optimized for cheaper AI workloads.

Humain's and DataVolt’s joint efforts combine AI innovation and infrastructure development to support this vision.
