Magnum Gallery artfully merges the classic and the contemporary in its 2025 Paris Photo exhibition, underscoring photography’s quiet ability to inspire reflection and emotion.
“Paris Photo is one of the key moments of the year for Magnum Gallery,” writes Clémence Vichard-Larroque, Magnum Gallery’s Senior Gallery Manager. “The city comes alive, drawing in much of the photography world, from artists and collectors to curators, publishers, visitors, and fellow gallerists. It’s a vibrant occasion, a time of discovery, full of meaningful encounters and conversations.”
Each year, Magnum Gallery curates about 30 fine prints for Paris Photo, creating a dialogue between heritage and innovation. For 2025, the exhibition features works from 16 photographers, including a new series by Olivia Arthur and vintage Herbert List prints from the 1930s.
“Representing both the historic legacy of an agency like Magnum and the contemporary practices of its photographers is a challenging yet captivating task,” notes Vichard-Larroque.
Paris Photo 2025 highlights Magnum Gallery’s mastery in uniting its historic archive with modern artistry, inviting viewers into photography’s evolving narrative.
