A consortium comprising TotalEnergies and Saudi developer Aljomaih Energy & Water (AEW) has received a licence from the Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) to develop, build, and operate a 400MW solar power plant in As Sufun, Saudi Arabia.

The solar plant will connect to the grid by 2027, with electricity sold to SPPC under a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA). It is expected to supply power to over 68,400 homes.
