Saudi Arabia's flyadeal Taps Into Growing Indian Market With Flights Beginning 2026

Saudi low-cost airline flyadeal will begin its expansion into India in early 2026, launching its maiden route from Jeddah to Mumbai. The carrier aims to connect up to six Indian cities by the end of that year as part of its broader regional growth strategy.

Expansion and New Connections

The Jeddah–Mumbai route marks the first step in flyadeal's India operations. Additional routes to five more Indian cities are expected to follow, as the airline strengthens links across the Middle East and South Asia.

flyadeal is also exploring partnerships with Indian airlines to provide passengers better domestic connectivity. The company continues to grow its fleet while reinforcing its regional presence.

Market Perspective

Speaking about the expansion, flyadeal CEO Steven Greenway highlighted India’s rapidly expanding aviation sector and the large community of Saudi-based Indian expatriates as key drivers for growth.

"You have to be very well-run. You have to have an absolute, brutal focus on unit cost in terms of being a really efficient operator."

Future Plans

Following Mumbai, Delhi is expected to become the next destination, with other cities joining later in the year. The airline plans to connect these Indian routes with its main hubs in Dammam, Jeddah, and Riyadh, offering increased mobility for travelers across both nations.

Author’s Summary

flyadeal’s 2026 India launch signifies a bold move to connect Saudi Arabia and India through low-cost routes, tapping into one of the world's fastest-growing aviation markets.
