Many celebrities achieved great success despite not finishing high school. Jeremy Allen White, star of The Bear, recently shared a touching moment involving an old teacher at the New York City premiere of his movie Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere. Reflecting on his time at Professional Performing Arts School, he admitted,

“I wasn’t a good student because I didn’t go to school enough.”

He never graduated but after the film screening, his teacher surprised him with a gift—his high school diploma. At 34 years old, he finally received it.

Nicole Kidman, who holds two Oscars, also left school early. Speaking on 60 Minutes, she said,

“I’m a high school dropout, which I’m not proud to say. I had some teachers that I still think of fondly and were amazing to me.”

By age 15, she was already focused on becoming an actress and moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream.
