2026 Grammy Award Nominations Announced
The nominees for the 68th annual Grammy Awards were revealed in November 2025. The ceremony, celebrating outstanding achievements in recorded music from August 2024 to August 2025, will be held on February 1, 2026, at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. It will air on CBS and be available for live streaming and on-demand viewing via Paramount+.
Best Musical Theater Album Nominees
Five albums have been nominated for Best Musical Theater Album, a category honoring excellence in musical theater recordings both in production and performance. The nominees are:
- Buena Vista Social Club
- Death Becomes Her
- Gypsy
- Just in Time
- Maybe Happy Ending
The presence of five nominees highlights that the category received over 40 submissions this year.
Individual Nominees for Buena Vista Social Club
Marco Paguia, Dean Sharenow, and David Yazbek are nominated as producers of the original Broadway cast recording of Buena Vista Social Club. Paguia also served as orchestrator, arranger, and music director for the Broadway show. He won the 2025 Tony Award for Best Orchestrations and a Special Tony Award as part of the onstage band. Yazbek contributed as a creative consultant, while Sharenow worked as the musical supervisor.
