Hayley Williams has released a new single titled “Showbiz,” marking her return with a bright and romantic indie pop sound. The track accompanies the long-awaited physical release of her album Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party.
Featuring crisp percussion, vocoder harmonies, and glittering synth layers, “Showbiz” showcases Williams’ refined pop sensibility. The production, created alongside collaborator Daniel James, brings to mind the rhythmic grooves of Phoenix — a fitting nod, as Williams previously sampled their 2017 track “Fior di Latte” on “Love Me Different.”
