Mike Smith, the Canadian actor known for his role as Bubbles in the comedy series Trailer Park Boys, has been charged with sexual assault in Nova Scotia. The charges were filed in provincial court on October 2, 2025.
The alleged incident reportedly occurred on December 30, 2017, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Under court conditions, Smith is prohibited from contacting the alleged victim or approaching their home, workplace, or school.
“We recognize how difficult an allegation of this nature is for all involved. Out of respect for the legal process, we will not comment further on the case.”
Trailer Park Boys Inc., the production company behind the series, confirmed that Smith has stepped down from his role as managing director during the ongoing legal proceedings.
Trailer Park Boys is a mockumentary-style comedy series that debuted in 2001 on Canada’s Showcase network. It gained wider international exposure after Netflix acquired it in 2014.
