Shortly after Oasis began their Live ’25 reunion tour on July 4, 2025, fans noticed Noel Gallagher playing a black Les Paul guitar, sparking rumors about its origin. Speculation ranged from it being the custom guitar loaned by Johnny Marr to another rare piece.

Just before Oasis's five-date Australian run, Gibson announced the broader release of the Gibson USA Noel Gallagher Les Paul Standard. Unlike a radical redesign, it is essentially a refined and enhanced version of the classic Les Paul.
