One Nation leader Pauline Hanson suggested that the populist wave sweeping through the United Kingdom could soon take hold in Australia after meeting with Reform UK founder Nigel Farage.
Hanson attended the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Florida, where she met with Farage to discuss political trends and shared challenges.
“It was great to catch up with my friend Nigel Farage, a true champion for Britain, at CPAC,” Hanson said on Sunday. “Reform UK is reshaping the political landscape by standing firm, speaking plainly, and putting their country first. That same movement is building here in Australia.”
Hanson emphasized that, similar to Reform UK, One Nation has gained momentum by addressing frustrations ignored by major parties, saying her movement represents citizens “tired of being ignored, sold out, and betrayed by a political class that’s lost touch.”
Reform UK currently leads the governing Labour Party by roughly ten points in polls, driven by its anti-immigration stance and tax cut pledges. Meanwhile, One Nation has reached a historic 15 percent in primary vote support, according to the latest Australian polling data.
“Reform is proving something the establishment fears — the old two-party stitch-up can be defeated. And when it crumbles, it crumbles fast,” Hanson said.
