Walker ready to move out of comfort zone and make his mark on DP World Tour

Walker Ready to Move Out of Comfort Zone

Euan Walker had grown comfortable competing on the HotelPlanner Tour, familiar with every course, airport, and hotel over his four years on the second-tier European golf circuit.

“I knew what I was playing in, I knew all the courses, the airports, hotels and how I would get there,” said the Barassie man.

“So, yes, you do get comfortable. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t want to progress.”

Promotion to the DP World Tour

Last weekend, Walker finally achieved his goal, earning promotion to the DP World Tour from the HotelPlanner Tour rankings after several near misses in recent years. Now 30, he is preparing for the challenges of the main tour rather than returning to familiar venues.

“I’m trying to get my head round the fact that I’m not going back to the same places and, instead, I’m planning for a new life on the main tour,” Walker said.

Proven Consistency and Experience

Walker, who graduated alongside fellow Scots Daniel Young and David Law, proved his readiness by winning twice on the second-tier tour in 2022 and 2024. Although he didn't claim a victory in 2025, his consistent performance and steady progress secured his promotion.
