Rookie Beckett Sennecke recorded his first two-goal game, while Leo Carlsson scored two power-play goals in a 4-1 victory over the Winnipeg Jets at Honda Center in Anaheim.
Despite the recent government shutdown ending, the Jets remained grounded as the Ducks continued their dominant run. After defeating the 2025 Pacific Division champions in Vegas and last year’s Presidents’ Trophy winners on back-to-back nights, Anaheim has now won seven consecutive games. This marks their longest winning streak since the 2021-22 season when they won eight straight. Overall, they have triumphed in nine of their last ten matches.
“I heard about the losing days of the past couple years from the older guys, and they’re pretty pumped right now,” said Sennecke.
During their current surge, the Ducks have beaten the reigning two-time Stanley Cup champions twice, along with a Western Conference finalist and another 2025 playoff team. Their next challenge is a road game against the Colorado Avalanche in Denver, featuring the NHL’s two best teams by points percentage.
“It’ll be a good challenge for us. We knew that our schedule had a bunch of tough teams in a row here, and I think we’re proving why we’re an established team,” Sennecke added.
Leo Carlsson now shares the second spot in league-wide points with Chicago’s Connor Bedard, the only player drafted ahead of him in 2023. Nathan MacKinnon of Colorado leads the points leaderboard.
Author's summary: The Anaheim Ducks are riding a strong wave of success, winning seven straight games backed by standout performances from rising stars Beckett Sennecke and Leo Carlsson.
