"Traffic is currently stopped on the M25 anti-clockwise between J25 (Waltham Cross) and J24 (Potters Bar) due to a multi-vehicle collision. Delays are building on approach. Please allow for extra journey time," said National Highways East.

According to the latest updates from National Highways, the M25 clockwise direction has since reopened, while the anti-clockwise side remains closed between J25 and J23. Officials noted that the injuries sustained were not as severe as initially feared.
