Emmy and SAG Award winner Samira Wiley will make her Broadway debut this spring as Claire in the revival of Proof, David Auburn’s Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning play. The production is directed by Tony winner Thomas Kail.
Grammy nominee Jin Ha will return to Broadway as Hal, joining previously announced stars Ayo Edebiri and Don Cheadle. The show will open at the Booth Theatre on March 31, 2026.
A Juilliard graduate, Wiley recently performed at the Donmar Warehouse in London in Lynn Nottage’s Intimate Apparel. She also appeared in the National Theatre’s production of Blues For An Alabama Sky and starred off-Broadway in the 2016 production of Daphne’s Dive at the Signature Theatre.
Wiley played Poussey Washington on Netflix’s landmark series Orange is the New Black and won the 2018 Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama for her role in Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale.
She was also nominated three additional times for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her work on The Handmaid’s Tale.
Ha made his Broadway debut in 2017 in Julie Taymor’s production of David Henry Hwang’s M. In 2018, he played Annas in NBC’s Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, earning a Grammy nomination for Best Musical Theater Album.
