The FIFA World Cup will take place in Canada next year, bringing together some of the country’s top musical talents. Canada Soccer announced a new program featuring prominent Canadian artists collaborating on an album celebrating the event, which will be hosted in Toronto, Vancouver, and 14 other cities across North America.
The project, called Perfect Pitch, includes Alessia Cara, Charlotte Cardin, Loud Luxury, Nelly Furtado, The Tragically Hip, and Zeds Dead. They are working under the guidance of Grammy-winning producer Boi-1da.
“The energy around this project has been incredible. It’s inspiring to see so many iconic Canadian artists come together. What we’re creating isn’t just an album, it’s a cultural statement. The music represents every corner of the country, and I’m proud of how collaborative and inclusive the process has been,” Boi-1da said in a release.
The album will feature original compositions, reimagined tracks, and unique collaborations among Canada’s most celebrated musicians. It is planned to be released before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which starts next June across North America.
This album aims to unite Canadian culture and music in celebration of the global sporting event.
