North Lincolnshire Honors Armed Forces on Remembrance Sunday
North Lincolnshire will pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of its armed forces on Remembrance Sunday with a parade and remembrance service in Scunthorpe on Sunday, 9 November.
Event Details
- The parade assembles outside The Baths Hall from 10:10 AM and begins at 10:25 AM.
- Participants can gather for tea and coffee inside the venue from 9:30 AM or join outside from 10:00 AM.
- The procession, including serving personnel, veterans, military organizations, and uniformed groups, will march along Doncaster Road to the Cenotaph outside North Lincolnshire Museum.
- The remembrance service starts at 10:45 AM with an Act of Remembrance, followed by a two-minute silence at 11:00 AM and wreath laying.
- The parade returns to The Baths Hall via Vicarage Gardens afterward.
- After the service, The Baths Hall will host refreshments and a time for reflection for attendees.
Cllr Carol Ross, Mayor of North Lincolnshire, said: “It is a privilege to lead our community in remembering and honouring the immense contribution of our armed forces – those who serve today and those who have served.”
