Several areas in the Upper Peninsula are facing power outages Monday afternoon, with Houghton County reporting the most significant impact.
UPPCO attributes the outages to issues with the transmission infrastructure delivering electricity to their system.
The company stated, “Power is actively being restored.” They also noted high call volumes and website traffic may cause longer wait times and access issues.
To report outages, customers are advised to use the UPPCO customer portal or email [email protected].
