Jet2 Expands Holiday Destinations from London Gatwick

Jet2, the UK's largest tour operator, has revealed new flights and holiday options from London Gatwick Airport, increasing its presence to 14 bases nationwide. This expansion introduces flights to 29 locations, including mainland Spain, Greece, Turkey, Portugal, and several Mediterranean islands.

New Routes and Aircraft

The new Gatwick fleet will consist of six aircraft serving destinations such as the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Malta, Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Cyprus. The first flight from Gatwick is scheduled for March 26, 2026, departing to Tenerife.

Modern and Eco-Friendly Fleet

Of the six planes based at Gatwick, five will be brand-new Airbus A321neo models, recognized as the most fuel-efficient and sustainable in the industry. These aircraft reduce fuel use and emissions per seat by more than 20%.

Economic and Employment Impact

This development is expected to create over 300 jobs locally, covering roles such as cabin crew, flight deck staff, engineering, and ground operations.
