Authors Turned Journalists Highlight the List

British reporter Sonia Purnell explores the life of political activist and socialite Pamela Harriman in Kingmaker. While Harriman is most known as Winston Churchill’s daughter-in-law, Purnell reveals her as a skilled diplomat and determined woman.
