Lululemon will not meet its 2025 target for a 50% reduction in single-use plastic intensity, while sourcing sustainable nylon remains a challenge. Athletic apparel giant Lululemon has released its 2024 Impact Report, detailing progress on sustainability goals. Lululemon has progressed in several areas while also adjusting some targets. Lululemon’s sustainability efforts are headed by Noel Kinder, who joined as Senior Vice President of Sustainability in May 2025 from Nike.

Lululemon: “At Lululemon, our commitment to create positive change has guided our impact work over the past five years and continues to shape everything we do. We operate our business with integrity and purpose, and remain focused on advancing impact in the areas of greatest relevance to our company and guests, and where we can deliver the most meaningful results.”

Noel adds: “Our FY24 Impact Report results demonstrate the collective dedication and learnings of our teams across the organisation and the power of collaboration in driving transformative change. We are pleased with our progress over the past year, and as we launch our Impact Agenda 2030, we are focused on where we can make the most significant impact, recognising the path forward will demand continued innovation, resilience and deep partnership across the value chain.”

Lululemon’s “Like New” programme is a key part of its circularity strategy, buying back items from customers.
