Some staff members of the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) have raised concerns about widespread corruption and financial mismanagement under the leadership of the Managing Director, Jennifer Adighije.
Employees accuse Ms. Adighije of reckless spending and corrupt practices that have negatively impacted the company's operations. The staff have formally petitioned both the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Presidency, demanding investigations into the irregularities.
"The level of mismanagement and corruption under the current leadership is alarming," said one anonymous employee. "Funds meant for crucial power projects are being diverted without accountability."
The petitioners insist on urgent intervention to halt the financial abuses and restore proper governance. They argue that the alleged corrupt practices have stalled progress on key energy initiatives meant to benefit the Niger Delta region.
These accusations highlight a pressing need for transparency and accountability in managing public resources within Nigeria’s power sector.
