Will Ferrell attended a Kings hockey game over the weekend dressed as Buddy the Elf, but this time, his character looked "a little bit disgruntled".
The actor, known for his comedic roles, was spotted at the Crypto Arena during a game between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Los Angeles Kings.
Ferrell's version of Buddy the Elf was far from festive, with a 5 o'clock shadow and a cigarette dangling from his mouth as he sat rinkside.
"Buddy the Elf is a huge Kings fan. But we've never, ever seen him like this,"
said FanDuel Sports Network broadcaster Carrlyn Bathe.
The actor's appearance as a disheveled Buddy the Elf suggests "it was a tough holiday season".
