Tembisa Hospital Corruption

The Special Investigating Unit (SIU) has secured assets worth approximately R133.5 million in relation to corruption at Tembisa Hospital.

This includes luxury vehicles such as three Lamborghinis, two Aston Martins, a Ferrari, and a Rolls Royce, as well as a Sandhurst property.

The SIU obtained an order to preserve R900 million worth of assets, which were allegedly unlawfully and irregularly paid out by Tembisa Hospital.

The action was initiated on 9 October 2025, with the support of the South African Police Service and the Johannesburg Metro Police.

The SIU's efforts aim to preserve assets linked to one of the alleged syndicates that operated at the Tembisa Hospital.
