Alcohol Not Involved in Fatal Wood Lake, MN, Fire Truck Crash
A blood test determined alcohol was not a factor in the wreck that left Wood Lake firefighter Pat Remiger dead.
Firefighter Andrew Vanhecke, 37, was driving the fire truck when it crashed, and blood test results have cleared him of any alcohol involvement.
- Firefighter Patrick Remiger, 43, was ejected from the rig and pronounced dead at the scene.
- Vanhecke and his six-year-old son, Beaux, were injured in the wreck.
The crash report was amended after the blood results were received, said Troy Christianson.
