TxDOT Reveals Upgrades for Nacogdoches Intersection on North Street

Changes are coming to the Lloyd and North Street intersection in Nacogdoches. Signs are already in place warning motorists of upcoming upgrades to the traffic signals based on valuable community feedback.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has provided updated plans for the intersection of Lloyd Street and North Street in Nacogdoches. Two weeks ago, officials with TxDOT revealed that they were suspending plans to remove the traffic signal at this intersection, a few blocks north of SFA.

The decision to leave the signal in place was made based on input from Nacogdoches citizens, city officials, and stakeholders. Capital improvement projects, both in progress and planned at Stephen F. Austin State University, were also taken into consideration.
