Sunflower Maze Offers Alternative to Traditional Corn Maze
The Summerset Farm in Santa Ynez has introduced a sunflower maze, providing a new twist to the fall corn maze craze on the Central Coast.
Unlike traditional corn mazes, the sunflower maze features flowers that are at eye level but grow up to six to eight feet tall in some areas.
Sally Maher notes, "they are smiling. They are happy, they can't believe it. It is an original idea. It's not a standard corn maze."
- The maze offers a fun experience for families and kids, with cutbacks, twists, and turns to navigate.
- Some visitors use small wagons to make their way through the maze.
- The sunflower maze also provides an opportunity to observe bees pollinating the flowers.
Upon returning from the maze, visitors can leave with sunflowers they have picked, courtesy of the farm.
