Kennewick Troopers Honor Fallen Colleague with DUI Emphasis Patrol
Washington State Patrol (WSP) troopers are conducting an emphasis patrol in honor of Trooper Christopher Gad, who was killed by a drunk driver while on duty in March 2024.
"We're going to honor him every year," said Daniel Mosqueda, a WSP Trooper. "This is going to be another way we can do that to remember him."
The WSP recently shared statistics from a past emphasis patrol, highlighting its impact. Statewide, more than 5,300 violators were stopped, with over 100 DUI arrests and 144 traffic infractions issued.
