Historic Landmark to be Restored After Funding Boost

A historic monument in Wiltshire, the Pewsey White Horse, is set to be restored after securing funding for the project.

The Pewsey White Horse, one of eight visible white horses carved into hillsides across Wiltshire, dates back to 1937 and is located a mile south of the village, overlooking the Vale of Pewsey.

“We’re delighted to share that Pewsey Parish Council has secured funding to begin the survey and restoration of the Pewsey White Horse. This much-loved local landmark is an important part of our heritage, and the grant will allow us to take the first steps towards ensuring it can be preserved for future generations.”

Work will begin with a detailed survey to guide the restoration process, according to Pewsey Parish Council.
