The St Patricks Plains wind project in Tasmania has been delayed for the fifth time, awaiting a decision under the federal environmental Act.
The project, now proposed for 47 turbines with a capacity of 291 megawatts, was initially designed for 67 turbines before being scaled back.
The new deadline for a decision is now November 28.
Both the previous delay and this one were requested by developer Ark Energy, according to a government spokesperson.
Ark Energy acquired the project in 2022, adding to the already lengthy delays under the EPBC Act, which began in 2019 when the project was still owned by Epuron.
