Meghalaya Wins Against Arunachal Pradesh

Meghalaya secured their first win in the U-19 men's Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2025-26, defeating Arunachal Pradesh by 71 runs in the plate group in Chandigarh.

After choosing to bat first, Meghalaya was all out for 137 in 40.3 overs. However, they managed to dismiss Arunachal for just 66 in 17.3 overs.

Arunachal initially dominated the field, reducing Meghalaya to 22/3, but a partnership between Rudra Singh Rathor (21) and Angkit Tamang (67 not out) for a fourth wicket stand of 27 helped turn the tide.

Without Angkit, Meghalaya's innings would have looked very different as he was the rock for the team on Monday.

Angkit Tamang batted patiently, facing 124 deliveries and hitting six fours and one six, finishing the innings unbeaten.
