American Express is running huge sign-up bonuses on several cards, including The Platinum Card, with bonuses worth between 40,000 and 120,000 Membership Rewards points.
The standard bonus for The Platinum Card is 50,000 Membership Rewards points, which converts to 50,000 Avios. However, applying today will yield a sign-up bonus of 80,000 Membership Rewards points, convertible to 80,000 Avios.
