Arsonist Pleads Guilty to Firebombing Governor's Residence

Cody Balmer, a 38-year-old man from Harrisburg, has pleaded guilty to all charges against him, including attempted murder and terrorism.

He appeared in person at the Dauphin County Courthouse, where he pleaded guilty to one count of attempted murder of Gov. Josh Shapiro, as well as aggravated arson, burglary, and over 20 counts of arson.

Balmer was sentenced to 25-50 years in prison and will not be eligible for parole until April 13, 2050, when he will be 63 years old.

The incident occurred in April, when Balmer firebombed the Pennsylvania governor's residence.
