Canadian Tire Corporation Experiences Data Breach
Canadian Tire Corporation announced a data breach affecting e-commerce customer information on October 2.
The unauthorized activity was limited to that database, which did not include Canadian Tire Bank information or Triangle Rewards loyalty data.
The company stated that the vulnerability has been resolved and external experts are being worked with to enhance related protections. In-store transactions were not impacted, and all e-commerce systems are operational.
