The United States has unveiled an unmanned version of the Black Hawk helicopter, featuring a 25% increase in cargo area volume due to the absence of a cab.
Sikorsky showcased the UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter's unmanned version, named S-70UAS U-Hawk, at the Association of the United States Army's AUSA 2025 show.
According to Sikorsky vice president Rich Benton, the manufacturer can quickly and on a large scale convert conventional helicopters into drones.
The U-Hawk has a flight duration of up to 14 hours without refueling and a range of approximately three thousand kilometers, making it suitable for carrying various cargoes and launching small drones.
