Saskatoon Hilltops Advance to PFC Semifinal
The Saskatoon Hilltops have overcome adversity throughout the season, and their regular-season finale was no exception. Despite facing rain, wind, and snow, as well as a lengthy delay, they secured a 31-6 victory over the Calgary Colts.
“It is,” said Hilltops head coach Tom Sargeant, “what it is.”
The team now moves on to the Prairie Football Conference playoffs, with their first game against the Winnipeg Rifles this Sunday. When asked if the Hilltops are ready for a long playoff run, Sargeant replied,
“We’re going to find out.”
The conditions during the game were challenging, with a slippery ball and turf making play difficult at times. As Sargeant noted,
“We matched the conditions at times.”
