A 1-in-30-million calico lobster, named Jackie, has made her debut at Northeastern University's Marine Science Center in Nahant, Massachusetts.
Jackie's unique colors are due to a mixture of chemical compounds. She is joining other Halloween-themed animals, such as spiders, bats, and fungi, as a natural ambassador for the season.
Jackie is a rare orange and black lobster, with odds of catching a crustacean like this being about one-in-30 million, according to Sierra Munoz, Marine Science Center outreach coordinator.
