8-Year Wait For Yishun BTO Sparks Frustration Online
Some Singaporeans are frustrated about the long waiting time for their Build-To-Order (BTO) flats in Yishun.
The Housing Development Board (HDB) had announced a drastic cut in the estimated waiting time for new BTO flats, but this does not apply to those who applied for the Vanda Breeze @ Yishun project in 2022.
According to a Reddit post, the completion date for Vanda Breeze @ Yishun is slated to be the second quarter of 2029, with a tentative move-in date of 2030.
This means that some homeowners could be waiting for up to eight years for their BTOs to be completed.
The HDB has stated that the waiting time for these BTOs was known from the start, and has not changed.
