High School Football Upsets
A historic football upset occurred in 1921 when the Praying Colonels of Centre College, with only 225 students, defeated Harvard 6-0 in front of 45,000 fans in Cambridge, Mass.
Harvard hadn’t lost a football game for five years, so the loss to a team from the hills of Kentucky and their quarterback imported from Texas, shook up the sports world.
This game remains one of the biggest football upsets in history. Recently, East Rowan came close to pulling off a similar upset against West Rowan, being 36-point underdogs with a zero percent win probability.
