Alexandria's cross country team had a banner day, sweeping the boys and girls varsity team titles on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
The Cardinal boys team claimed the Central Lakes Conference team varsity championship with a score of 72 points, edging Brainerd by one point. All of Alexandria's boys runners placed inside the top-25.
The girls team also won the championship with a score of 47 points, thanks to top-10 results from three Cardinals.
Citori Halbe finished sixth with a time of 19:41.3, Avery Warzecha finished seventh at 19:47.5, and Isabella Neil finished 10th with a time of 19:54.2.
These runners earned all-conference recognition, given to the top-16 finishers in both the boys and girls races.
