Why I Still Love Newspapers
I am a week late to this discussion, as I was reflecting on my experiences in Iraq 20 years ago with the 48th Brigade Combat Team and a close encounter with an IED.
Last week marked National Newspaper Week, a celebration close to my heart. As a columnist, I have the privilege of sharing my thoughts with readers, courtesy of the editors, and receiving feedback in return.
With nearly three decades of experience, I have formed meaningful connections with regular readers, despite never meeting them in person. You, the readers, have been with me through both good times and bad, offering constructive criticism when needed.
